The infamous Royal vs. Simi week has returned. Starting the week off with a bang, the first spirit day is College Wear Monday.

Students were given the opportunity to wear merchandise from their favorite colleges, and universities. With the Common Application, and different public and private schools opening their doors for applications for the fall of 2023, the highlander seniors took this opportunity to show off the schools they plan on applying to. Speaking on this, senior Shya Samadani said, “It’s cool to see all the different schools people are wearing on their shirts, I got to learn about more universities that exist and the different mascots the schools have. I’m excited to see which universities my classmates end up going to.”

As well to the seniors conversing about college, fellow students in the junior class participated in this spirit day. On behalf of the class of 2024, Trinity Ngyuen said, “I enjoy dressing up for spirit weeks, and this was a day with a more casual dress up which was nice to ease students into the crazier spirit days.”

Make sure to dress in the appropriate attire for the rest of this Royal Valley Week. The next dress-up days include Throwback Tuesday, On Wednesday Royal, Wears Pink, Rivalry (better known as PioNERD) Day, and Green and Gold Day.
