As the year comes to a close many seniors are contemplating what they will do after high school. Many seniors already have a solid plan for what they will do. People from our school have said many times that they hope every student has a plan for their post-high school lives. Laura Cuneo, the College and Career Counselor put on a celebration related to this idea that happened during lunch on Wednesday, May 22. There were two tables and a screen set up near the gate on the side of the school. The screen in the back was used for photo opportunities. Students could create a sign saying what college they were going to as well as use props. One table had materials to create the signs, and there were also props and candy. The other table had a U.S,. map where students could mark where their college of choice was located. Cuneo was running both tables and taking photos.

In addition to decision day a few seniors were asked about what their personal plans for after they graduate high school. Ian Cervantes said, “I want to look into scare acting but for the long-term I want to do trucking.” De’Anna Brewer said, “I want to do cosmetology as a career.” Sean Vertuno said, “If music doesn’t work out I’ll be teaching due to teachers at this school inspiring me.” Many seniors said that attending Moorpark College as part of their plans. Becca Cheney said, “I plan on going to Moorpark and then transferring to Humboldt University.” “I’ll go to Moorpark for two years and figure something out,” said Ryan Siddiq.  Jackson Silva replied, “Moorpark, maybe try and get a job.” Finally, Samantha Lee said, “I’m getting my associates degree in Kinesiology at Moorpark College and then I’m going to try to open my own physical therapy clinic.”
