During the boiling days of Wednesday, September 5 and Thursday, September 6, all the clubs gathered together and set up tables around campus to promote their clubs and what they have in store for the new year. As the heat climbed up to the 100s, tables were set up with decorated posters, sign-ups, and treats under the shade. The crowd took alert and many students signed up for many clubs, setting the stage for success and taking initiative in participating around the school.
Clubs are a major part of being involved in high school, and the Kingdom does not hold back. As the multitude of tables were scattered around, some clubs passed out various treats like candy or Otter Pops to promote their club. Junior Class President, Melody Oh found Club Rush was crucial in the high school experience, sharing, “It is important for the school to continue Club Rush because many students can fine new outlets, branch out of their comfort zone, and support clubs that share the same interests.”
For the freshman, rookies to Club Rush, this was an entirely exciting experience for them as well. Freshman Ishaan Choudhary spoke out about his first experience with club rush, saying, “I believe Club Rush went really well for my first year, and I got to sign up for things that connect to what I like to do, as well as allowing me to try out new activities.” Club Rush was a raging success this year despite the clinging heat, and it opens the curtains for an amazing year of activities and enthusiasm.
