Every year, our library gets new books, and lots of them. “We got probably 800 copies last year, and we’ll probably get about that this year,” librarian Linda Rodriguez said about all the new library books.
Every student has a different genre that they prefer. Some prefer historical fiction, some prefer mystery. “I would say that with the boys, ‘horror’ stories and the girls are more ‘personal relationships’. Fantasy is mixed, as well as Manga,” Rodriguez said about the most popular genre among students.
You probably know that the books are usually organized alphabetically in our library. Well, by the end of the year they won’t be! Rodriguez is working on organizing the books by genre instead, which will allow students to find the books easier, they ones they would prefer to read.
