Best time with boba

One+of+the+many+drinks+they+have.
One of the many drinks they have.

For people who like boba or are interested in trying it, go to your local boba shop and try their drinks. The boba tea drink originated from Taiwan.

To make boba, also known as tapioca pearls, the process begins by mixing tapioca starch with water and sometimes a bit of caramel or brown sugar for color and sweetness. This mixture is kneaded into a dough, then rolled into small balls, which are boiled until they become chewy and squishy. Finally, the cooked pearls are soaked in a sweet syrup, ready to be added to milk tea or any beverage of choice. Also, this drink can come in the forms of smoothies.

Junior Gissel Velasquez said, “Whenever I go I always get the cookies and cream boba, It’s so good.” The most popular flavors to get are black milk tea which has a strong taste but is mellowed down by the milk. The other one is taro milk tea, which is a more sweet and nutty tasting drink. Lastly is the Thai milk tea, which is a spice blend drink that has cardamom but condensed milk is added to smooth it out. Sophomore Roopert Garcia said, “If it’s your first time trying I would get the taro drink, it’s the best one there” These are just some of the varieties this drink has. The boba dring has gotten a lot more recognition over the years and it is something to definitely consider trying.

My name is Lenny De Jesus and I am a junior. The thing I like about journalism is finding interesting stories for the school's website. I enjoy playing soccer and I've been playing it ever since I was 6 or 7 and it's amazing. My favorite season of the year is winter because of cloudy days and Christmas. After graduation, I would like to go to college and get a career.
