Thanksgiving traditions

Gathering around the Thanksgiving table.

Gathering around the Thanksgiving table.

Everybody celebrates Thanksgiving differently, either with friends or family, and at home or eating out.

The common Thanksgiving traditions include a turkey dinner and spending time with family. People consistently do the same activities with the same people for thanksgiving.

“We have a big family get-together and we cook and play games,” said English 11 teacher Mrs. Setmire about her traditions.

Some people have traditions that allow for extra gratitude and peace. “We have always set an extra seat at the table so if we find someone who has nowhere to go, it’s like we were already expecting them,” AP Environmental Science and Biology teacher Mrs. Moffett said about one of her favorite family traditions.

Hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving break with those you love.
