Malibu, CA – Pepperdine University, a renowned institution nestled along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway, brought its campus charm to a local high school, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among students.

On October 12, Pepperdine representatives visited Royal High School to offer a glimpse of the university’s vibrant academic and campus life. The event aimed to motivate high school seniors as they embark on their college selection journey.

Pepperdine, with its picturesque campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is known for its commitment to academic excellence and a strong sense of community. During the visit, a Pepperdine representative engaged with eager high schoolers, providing insights into their respective fields of study, and the various opportunities the university offers.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from the school principal, who stressed the importance of higher education and encouraged students to explore their potential at institutions like Pepperdine. The visiting representative took turns sharing their experiences and offering advice to the young audience. “We offer a wide variety of majors and D1 sports,” stated the Pepperdine representative.

High school students were keen to learn about Pepperdine’s diverse academic programs, from business and law to arts and sciences. They also had the opportunity to engage in Q&A sessions, where they could inquire about admission requirements, scholarships, and extracurricular activities. “Do you offer a sort of pediatric care major,” a question asked by junior Jasmine Annalis.

As the event concluded, high school students left with Pepperdine brochures and a newfound excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead. The visit served as a reminder of the strong connections between the Royal High School and the nearby university, reinforcing the sense of community in California.

Pepperdine’s outreach to local high schools underscores the university’s commitment to education, and it certainly left a lasting impression on our students. The event was an inspiring reminder that, like the waves of the Pacific, Pepperdine’s impact can ripple through local communities, encouraging educational aspirations and dreams for a brighter future.

My name is Mike and I am a junior. I like journalism because who else gonna get a good story. I love making music, and basketball. After I graduate I plan on going to UCLA. One thing interesting about me is that although I can be outgoing I rather be to myself most of the time.
