The Fashion Club on campus is associated with the organization called FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), a program that provides fashion clubs throughout high schools and colleges nationwide. This club on campus is run by the club president sophomore Mackenzie Lusk, co-president senior Yumnah Shoaib, Secretary sophomore Hailey Hart, and Social Media Chair sophomore Andrea Partida.

The program has many scholarship opportunities for both the members and presidents of the club. The Fashion Club learns about many things about fashion and has fun activities each meeting, from coloring to designing, and discussing fashion trends. The club will also host a school fashion show later in the year. Lusk said, “I absolutely love the fashion club! I have never been in it or been a club president of any sort before this year so I am new to it and still have a lot to learn, but I have gotten to learn about working with others and have worked on collaborating and presentation skills, and have had so much fun with other members and have learned new things about fashion that I never knew before the club.”

The club meets once every two weeks on a Mondays during lunch, giving students with busy schedules a chance to join. The club plans on having a movie night fundraiser in the library in February, which is still in progress, they also hope to help to host the walkthrough for Winter Formal Court. The club meets during lunch in Ms. Beeby’s room 8-14.
