Girls’ volleyball is keeping their season strong by winning a home game against Viewpoint on August 31. They started the game off strong with an ace by senior Outside #5 Ayzlinn Trefren. They won the first set 25-11. Sophomore Outside #8 Jaidan Alexander made Viewpoint stress in the 2nd set by being on a serve streak and they had to call a timeout. Senior Opposite #13 Emily Ford wins the second set with two aces in a row and finishes at a score of 25-12. In the third set junior Setter #6 Ella Buonauro gets three aces in a row and sends Viewpoint into a strategic timeout but it doesn’t shake her confidence. They win the 3rd set when Viewpoint hitters struggle to block and go straight into the net leaving the score at 25-10 and overall winning the match 3-0.

The team also played a good game on September 5 by beating Newbury Park High School. The girls played a close first set ending at 25-20, and they wowed the crowd by winning the second set 25-7, and finally beating them in the third set with a score of 25-17.

On September 7 they also defeated Chatsworth High School 3-0. The crowd loves to watch them play such great games. Junior Natalie Mcormick said, “They make volleyball so fun to watch!” Sophomore Emma Wall said, “I come to the games because they are more entertaining than any of the other sports to me.” This team’s future is looking bright and they are ready for anything.
