Stevie the Highlander means a lot to school because he represents courage, positivity and being brave. Several student have answer on why it is great to have Stevie as our mascot. Junior Gabe Hirch said, “It means a lot knowing the role of Highlanders to protect and defend, and it means our school is brave.” Also, junior Matthew Blough said, “It’s cool knowing he’s a warrior and that’s what this school is filled with.”

Everyone in our school appreciates the meaning and the fact we got a mascot that goes to our games and makes everyone hyped up at games and wants to be in pictures and celebrate the school as a whole. Having him around makes our school a more positive and friendly place. When we lose or win everyone still has a great time no matter what supporting other students and cheering for the Highlanders to win.
