Throughout the week of May 19 to May 23, students running for ASB positions will begin to campaign for their initiative for their peer’s votes. This is done with a multitude of posters throughout the hallways, setting up social media accounts to talk more about why they should be chosen, and many other interactive ways as well. Campaigners can be seen throughout the Kingdom hallways requesting students to take photos with their posters, take videos with students to gain more support, and passing out various items.
ASB Campaign week has always been a fun, yet stress-inducing time for these candidates. While it allows students to bond effortlessly and increased school spirit, it also provides a way for students to try aiming for positions that they may not have seen themselves doing before. Junior Avery Opp, who is running for ASB Vice President of Athletics and Activities, said, “I had so much fun creating posters and I can’t wait to see the results of everyone’s efforts.”
