As the school year gets closer and closer to ending, many seniors begin to get nervous or start to panic and fall behind. This is referred to by many as senioritis, and it affects some people more than others. One way to not get affected is to stay focused and on track as the school year is coming to a close.
Senior Noe Cisneros was asked if he believes seniortis is a thing and he said, “I personally don’t think it’s a thing since I’m not behind or anything, but I have seen it affect other students.”
Senior Aaron Syed talked about senioritis said, “I think it is a thing because halfway through the year I got lazy and stopped doing what I needed to do.”
When Senior Brian Nyguen was asked about senioritis and said, “Senioritis does feel like it’s a thing because sometimes I have the drive to do homework and stay on track, and other times I feel like doing nothing.”
When Eddie Viramontes, a senior, was asked about if senioritis affects him he said, “It personally doesn’t affect me, but some of my friends have told me they think it’s affecting them.”
Senior Rogelio Sanchez was asked whether or not he is affected by senioritis and he responded with, “I think it comes and goes because I feel like doing work and other times I don’t.”
Senior Jaden Arreguin said, “I think it is real because I have heard from friends about their experiences and even though it hasn’t affected me personally I do think it affects others.”
Senior Angel Espinoza felt regarding senioritis, “It has been affecting me a little bit and recently I’ve missed a few assignments due to that.”
Senior Gustavo Raya said, “I think it does affect me because I feel like not doing work sometimes and I’m in all IB so I have to even when I don’t feel like it.”
As the school year gets closer and closer to ending, many seniors are beginning to slack a little bit while others are staying focused in this last stretch of the year. We only have a little over a month of school left, so just stay focused and hold on.
