From March 16-19, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visited the Kingdom to ensure high-quality education and proper preparation of students for colleges, careers, and more. As WASC joined the Highlanders, they visited classes to monitor different subjects and how students are being taught, conferencing with groups of students, and ending with a conference with all the staff to share the information they have gathered.
WASC is an independent organization that evaluates schools to make sure they meet outstanding standards for education. With that, they will provide accreditation, which is a mark of excellence, showing that the Kingdom’s programs, instruction, and school environment will meet that rigorous criteria. According to Principle Michael Hall, “The WASC team was on campus meeting with students, staff, and parents to learn about our academic programs, support school services, school culture, and overall operations.”
Mr. Hall stated, “This visit is an opportunity for us to showcase our school’s accomplishments and receive valuable feedback on ways we can continue to improve.” The WASC visit was more than successful, marking a prideful moment for the Kingdom and the Highlanders.
