It is a chilly day outside and the JV boys lacrosse season has started. The boys lacrosse team are going went against Newbury Park High School boys on February 11, from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Both JV teams tried so much during the game, and Newbury Park ended up winning. One of the players, freshmen Antonio Aguilar, was happy to play. Aguilar said, “Even though we didn’t win and we lost very badly, I’m proud of myself and my team because we all tried.” Even though the players were down by a lot of points, they kept trying to win the game. The audience was very supportive to both teams, and the final score ended up being 1-12.
One of the other players, freshmen Tanish Perumbur, wasn’t really happy with the score. Some of his family was watching him and supporting him throughout the game. Perumbur said, “Some people are meant to win, others are meant to lose and I know the score wasn’t great but I know I’ll do better next time.” There was another game that same day, and it was Varsity Lacrosse boys who played. They also lost with a score of 4-10, Panthers taking the win once again.
