Has anyone seen the seniors? Some students have reported the seniors last seen having fun and relaxing with friends! Friday, January 7, was our “non-school sanctioned” Senior Ditch Day. Many seniors hung out at the mall, went somewhere to eat, spent time at the beach, or watched a movie. This year seniors were spotted at multiple places such as the Regal Movie Theater, Paradise Cove beach, and Skyzone.
Seniors Olivia Simpson, Samantha Davenport, and Emily Scully had a blast on Senior Ditch Day at the beach! They went to Paradise Cove and had fun relaxing on blankets, swimming, and walking around the area. Paradise Cove is located in Malibu and is about a 45 minute drive from Royal. The beach allows surfing and has boards you can rent, you can sit down and eat at one of the many restaurants there, or relax on the sand with the chairs that are there for the public! Davenport said, “We brought our own blanket, drinks, and snacks and had so much fun!”
After relaxing in the sand and going for a swim in the ocean, the vibrant restaurants look tempting! Simpson recommended going to, “Paradise Cove Beach Cafe because they have the best breakfast.” These seniors ordered pancakes and waffles which were loaded with fruit, syrup, and powdered sugar. Scully said, “Those were probably the best waffles I’ve ever had, 10 out of 10.”
