Running from Monday, January 27, to Friday, January 31, the week featured exciting themes that encouraged students to dress up and express school spirit.
The spirit week began on Monday with “Adam Sandler Day,” where students embraced the actor’s signature casual style by wearing oversized t-shirts, baggy shorts, and sneakers. Tuesday followed with “Athletes or Mathletes,” giving students the choice to dress as either sporty athletes or math lovers, with many incorporating creative math symbols into their outfits. Senior Jenevieve Clark said, “It was so fun to see everyone dress up and show school spirit.”
On Wednesday, “Rhyme Without a Reason” was when students came up with rhyming costume combinations. Some standout examples included “Santa with Fanta” and “Dj and Pjs.” On Thursday it was, “Snow Day in NYC,” where students wore winter-themed outfits inspired by snowy New York City days, featuring scarves, and coats.
Mr. Brian Dennert said, “I was very impressed with the creative ideas that people came up with, especially Ms. Gonzalez, and it was fun to see people come up with ideas.”
The week concluded on Friday with “Decades Day,” where students could travel back in time by dressing in styles from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, or ‘80s. The week ended with a pep rally on Friday during fourth period.
