Winter break is one of the most anticipated breaks during the school year. It gives students and staff a fresh start to the second semester and the new year. During winter break many students and staff visit family out of town, state, or country. Christmas and New Year’s Eve take place over winter break, and many students and staff talk about it when we return back to school in January.
When asked how their winter break was, Senior Cesar Carballo said, “I had a fun winter break, I stayed home for Christmas but for New Years Eve I went to my grandma’s house up north.” Senior Jaden Arreguin was asked what he did over winter break and he said, “I went to Disneyland for a week and stayed at the hotel over there. For New Year’s I was home with family and friends.”
When asked how they spent their winter break, Senior Rogelio Sanchez said, “I went out with friends and family over most of my winter break and spent Christmas at home as well as New Years.” When asked if their winter break was good, senior Eddie Viramontes said, “I was working during winter break, but I also went out with friends and family. I was able to spend Christmas and New Year’s at home with my family so that was good.”
When Senior Brian Ngyuen was asked how he spent his winter break he said, “I went up north with family for Christmas but came back and was able to spend New Year’s here back home.” Senior Gustavo Raya was asked what he did over his winter break, he responded with, “I spent my winter break with friends and family. For Christmas I spent it at my aunt’s house and for New Years I spent it at my house.”
When asked how he spent his winter break sophomore Diego Oliveras said, “I spent my winter break at home and just went out with my friends and family. For Christmas I was home and for New Year’s I went over to a friend’s house.” When freshman Jacob Maldonado was asked what he did over winter break he said, “I spent winter break at home and went out a lot with my friends and family. I went up to Mammoth for a few days and spent it at the snow. For Christmas I went over to my aunt’s house and for New Year’s I spent it at home.”
