At the end of the first day of winter finals, December 18, at 12:50 p.m., Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) graciously hosted an enjoyable nacho bar for all the Highlander staff as a way of appreciation and giving before the holidays. This nacho bar was set up inside the staff lounge, and was open for digging in at 12:50, the minute finals were done. Desserts were also provided, as PTSA partnered with the culinary students, and they masterfully created an entire array of sweets.
When asked about the sentiment behind this project, PTSA member, Dawn Patrikian said, “We want to thank our amazing teachers and staff at Royal High Schools for their hard work with the students, and we hope they enjoy our nacho bar,” showing how truly hardworking not only the staff is, but how the PTSA never fails to make an effort for the betterment of the Highlanders. This was a nice way to show homage to the hardworking staff all throughout campus, and how they make a consistent effort everyday to better each individual within the Kingdom.
Furthermore, this highly anticipated nacho bar within the staff is a new endeavor PTSA has decided to explore. In previous years, they often hosted a potato bar, which was also beloved by many. However, this year, PTSA came up with something new to feast on. Patrikian shares, “Elise, or VP of PTSA, had come up with a new idea of a nacho bar, and Mr. Hall loved [the idea].” This little feast is a small token of a large appreciation to all the staff members, and it is certain that they were pleased too. Go Highlanders!
