On Saturday, December 14, at 11 a.m. in Rancho Simi Valley Public Cemetery the annual Wreaths Across America event was held. Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored this event with people donating wreaths for the graves of our country’s fallen heroes. Wreaths Across America is a national program to remember the fallen, honor those who served, and teach the next generation the value of freedom.
AFJROTC supported these families of fallen soldiers and honors the veterans by placing wreaths on their graves. AFJROTC helped with this event to show that they respect the people who fought in the war. Sophomore Rebecca Dellvon had to say this about the event, “It was a good event, and everyone was professional.”
Sponsors for this event people bought the wreaths which ranged from $17-$204. Many of our cadets participated in this important event.
