Ever wish you could return to when you were just a kid? Well, Senior Dinner gave you this chance! There were not any time machines, but there was Chick-fil-A, classmates dressed as kids, games, and parent helpers at the event. Senior Dinner took place on Wednesday, November 20, starting at 7 p.m. in the MPR. Seniors got to relax, eat, spend time with friends, and reminisce on childhood nostalgia.
The MPR was decorated with bright-colored tables, balloons, confetti, posters, and fun activities. The tables had race cars, bouncy balls, squishies, and crayons. It seemed that a lot of seniors’ favorite activity was coloring on the tables and playing with the toys from their childhood. Senior Jasmine Le said, “It was such a fun touch with all the toys. I also really liked coloring on the table, I colored a lot.” A common theme in outfits was overalls, colorful shirts, and pigtails. Senior Kailani Ausina was dressed in a rainbow jacket and said, “For the theme, I decided to wear something colorful to match the vibe maybe.” Once Chick-fil-A arrived, seniors had to answer trivia correctly to then get in line for the food. There were chicken nuggets, drinks, chips, cookies, and plenty of desserts!
Lots of laughter, memories, and happiness filled the room when seniors Luke Lacy and Gabriella Zavala announced the beginning of the games. The first game played was musical chairs and eight volunteers fought until the very end. The next game was parachute. The senior’s objective was to toss all the balls onto the opposite side of them and get other players out. The last activity of the night was the announcement of the senior poll winners. The polls brought laughter and smiles to everyone’s faces. “The best bromance poll was the funniest one,” said senior Jasmine Panameno. This concluded the senior dinner, which was an evening well spent, filled with nostalgia, joy, and memories that remind us of the past which are worth celebrating!
