On the chilly morning of Saturday, November 9, at 7:30 a.m., Key Club students of the Simi Valley portion of District 42 East, assembled into buses starting their trip to the long prepared for, Fall Rally. The Highlanders outnumbered the students apart of all the other schools in District 42 combined, only showed the unity and spirit they have as a whole. Fall Rally is an event that takes place annually at Six Flags, where different districts meet and have spirit battles and fun bidding. This event boosted morals of every student who attended, leaving every participant with pride for their district when it was time to leave.
District 42, the Narwhals, all headed towards the theater to commence the awaited spirit battle. Students across districts each prepared different spirit battles, to which the Narwhals gave a daring run for their money. While this took place, districts bided on different LTGs, student leaders, with money they will raise towards different foundations for their bided LTG’s company. Finally, when the rally ended, all the Narwhals were given the opportunity to be set free, and to enjoy Six Flags on their own before meeting back for the buses at 7 p.m.
President of Key Club District 42, junior Jasleen Khangura shares her insight behind Fall Rally, and shared, “I could not be more proud of the work our club is doing this year and how well we represented the division at our Fall Rally. This year we’ve broken records for our memborship and impact with over 4,000 combined volunteer hours, a number that only keeps rising.” Khangura proceeds to share how the Highlanders truly shine in Key Club, and said, “As the largest club on campus, our members reflect Royal’s values positively on campus and in the community.” As obvious as it is, Key Club Fall Rally was a raging success for the Narwhals, especially for the Highlander students.
