Struggling with your classes is a completely normal, extra help for specific classes like Math and Science is offered in Room 2-2. Peer tutoring is only available during lunch or after school, students with D or F grades were sent emails with more information. It is very important if you are struggling with classes to get help. Some consequences of low grades include the loss of off-campus stickers, cafe privileges, and eligibility to play a sport.
Getting help from fellow classmates can make students struggling, be more comfortable to ask questions, and be more motivated to complete work. Sophomore Jerin Nathaniel said, “My teacher recommended I do this, and it’s actually helped a lot.” Another sophomore in the same study group, Karissa Nelson, said, “I was able to bring up my grade in math class by getting some help finishing my study guide.” Don’t be afraid to ask for help, all tutors are very glad to assist students in classes they are struggling in. Peer tutor, senior Christian Lim said, “It makes me feel good that I am able to help out others.”
