Our 2024 homecoming dance took place on September 28 at the quad in front of the MPR. The event started at 6:00 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m. Before the dance started a lot of people took pictures at the Rancho Madera Community Park. It is sort of like a designated unofficial place that a lot of students take photos at before homecoming.
The homecoming nominees for each grade level were for freshman Reid Bunker, Sean Mannion, and Madelyn Sanstrom. For sophomores Isabel Hartong, Zoe Jennings, and Brieanna Johnson. For juniors Savannah Downes, Ivy Rosesell, and Janelle Munoz. For seniors Tobias Ae, Kailani Ausina, Reese Barnard, Aubrey Lazo, Charles Tarpley, and Devon Ware. On Friday September 27 they announced the homecoming court winners at halftime during our homecoming game against Hueneme High School, the theme for the football game was the minions, and our student section really “stole the moon”. Our homecoming court winners were freshman Madelyn Sanstrom, sophomore Zoe Jennings, junior Ivy Rosesell, and senior Tobias Ae.
The DJ played music from the 2000’s party music and current popular songs like “HOT TO GO!” by Chappell Roan and “FE!N” by Travis Scott. The Lucky Dog Coffee were there selling drinks as well as Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream. The dance floor had pyrotechnics like sparklers and lights. Everyone had a great time and went home with great memories.
