Wrestling had recently matches on December 5 and 7. On senior night December 5 against Thousand Oaks High School at home, our wrestling team won their first game 53-16, with all the seniors winning their games.
They played extremely well winning their next home game also on Thursday, December 7, in a three way matchup against Moorpark High School and Valencia High School. Our team won in both matchups. We are undefeated still and look to continue this trend.
Junior Brody Denham said, “I look forward to having more matchups and am looking to improve.” Another junior Skylar Swaine said, “I am proud of our team for winning those games and I can’t wait to have matchups since I have had two byes.” Senior Derek Richards had amazing matchups winning in both and on senior night. Denham, junior Ben Kirk, junior Casey Nunnaly also had great wins.
The team is off to a amazing start, as the coach Richard Carrillo has done a amazing job working with this team and using these players to their full potential.
