On Tuesday, October 17, at Moorpark High School, our boys water polo won in an amazing game 28-1 against Moorpark. Royal dominated and played amazing! They improve their record to 22-4 overall and 6-2 in league. At this game sophomore Patrick Shea scored 1 goal, sophomore Joseph Velasquez scored 4 goals, junior Nico Rosado scored 4 goals, junior James Coleman 3 goals, freshman Marco Sanfeliopo scored 3 goals, junior Sebastian Chavez scored 2 goals, freshman Jack Whipp scored 4 goals, junior Aaron Syed scored 2 goals, freshman Zach Wisman scored 1 goal, and sophomore goalie Connor Pagels had a ton of great saves in a game giving up only one goal. We now are 5th in our division and ranked 150 nationally with .846 win percentage with a .750 win percentage in league. Everyone on our water polo team has worked very hard to make this happen for our school.
Coleman said, “I feel great about our team winning like that, especially because of how hard we all work.” Velasquez said, “We all work very hard every week and we are very confident looking forward to our next game.” This team has been amazing and very fun to watch.
