Moorpark College representatives visited campus on November 14, for an engaging informational workshop held in the College & Career Center (Room 2-12) during the 5th period. The session aimed to educate students on the college’s academic programs, transfer pathways, and career preparation services.
The event provided students with a chance to explore what Moorpark College has to offer, from affordable tuition to support for transferring to four-year universities. The workshop also highlighted resources like Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) courses, financial aid, and career guidance programs.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into how Moorpark College could align with their future plans. Senior Emily Martinez shared her thoughts and said, “This workshop really opened my eyes to the benefits of starting at a community college. I feel more confident about planning for my future.”
Another attendee, junior Carlos Rivera, expressed his enthusiasm for the dual enrollment program. “I didn’t know I could start taking college classes while still in high school. This gives me a great head start,” Rivera said.
The Moorpark College workshop proved to be a valuable experience for all students, providing them with tools to navigate their educational paths and prepare for life after high school.
