The class of 2025 had their first senior event of the year. On Friday, August 23, the event took place at 5:15 a.m. to see the sunrise at the football stadium. The morning was a little foggy, but it was still a beautiful sunrise nonetheless. Seniors all sat with friends, cuddled up in blankets on the stands, and enjoyed breakfast that was served by our wonderful PTSA volunteers.
Many students made senior pants and shirts. Seniors decorated shirts and pants with the words “Class Of 2025” or “Senior 2025”, as well as their names, or any doodles on them. The PTSA also made shirts that they gave away to the first 100 students who arrived at the event.
Leadership also painted posters that students took photos with, and students were able to sign their names on them. After the sun was up, students were allowed onto the field to take pictures with their friends. Senior Sophie Cano said, “It’s crazy to think that just yesterday we were freshmen and now we’re seniors. The Senior Sunrise was the first event that made the reality of us graduating really sink in.”
The event was filled with laughter, happiness, and roller-coasters of emotions. Senior Maiya Vallejo said, “I loved the event. I thought it was really cute, I loved being with my friends and being able to hang out with people I normally don’t get to see.”
