Auditions for the fall play, “Clue”, were held on September 26. An abounding number of students tried out for the play, including junior Victoria Kahoe and sophomore Caden Taggart.
Every student has parts that they would prefer, such as Kahoe who would prefer a comedic part that will make people laugh. “I want to play anyone important,” Taggart said about the role he wishes to receive. Taggart has played in the one act “Appropriate Audience Behavior” and the musical “Thirteen”.
According to Mrs. Elizabeth Rose, a parent and casting judge for the show, and Ricky Meza, an artist in residence and Royal alumni, the casting process can take anywhere from three days to a week. “I look for who can tell a story well as the character,” Meza said about casting the show. “We use the forms to break down the aspects of the character parts,” Rose said, adding on to what Meza said.
Good luck to all those who tried out and congratulations to all those who got cast.
