On Friday, May 1, students showed love and appreciation for Principal Mr. Michael Hall in honor of National School Principal Day. While there was not a large school event, students still made sure to say thank you to the person who helps lead the school every day.
Hall has been a principal for 14 years in SVUSD, and worked as an Assistant Principal at three different schools before becoming a full-time principal. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he smiled and said, “The kids. That’s what keeps me going every day.”
Even though he loves working with students, the job does come with its challenges. “The most challenging part is trying to get everyone graduated,” he shared. Helping students stay on track, pass classes, and meet all graduation requirements is a big part of what he does.
Senior Melody Morgan talked about how much Hall means to students. “He’s always walking around and talking to us,” she said, “You can tell he actually cares, and we notice that.”
Hall works hard behind the scenes every day to make sure students feel safe, supported, and ready for the future. National School Principal Day is a reminder to appreciate all the things principals do—even the things we do not always see.
