This year’s boys’ varsity water polo team is a team to look out for. Starting off with a record of 2-1, the guys look to defeat any team that steps in their path. Jakob W. said, “Beating Simi this year should be a walk in the park with the help from leading scorer James B.” Although coming off a nail biting 11-8 loss against Moorpark, team captains, Jager G. and Luke T. look to lead this team to a successful rest of the season.

As for JV, they are looking bright with a 2-0 start in league and a 2-3 overall record. In their first league game of the season, the boys were down 3-0 but ended up coming back to defeat Camarillo 5-4. The second league game the boys played was against their rival, Moorpark, which they beat 10-5. Team captains for the JV squad, Luke P. and Joseph A. stated, “There’s not a better feeling than going into that pool to play our rivals and coming out victorious.”

These boys continue to practice hard and look forward to winning their upcoming games against other teams in the league.
