Our new counselor, Ms. Jacqueline Becker, is a past Royal High School graduate. She received her B.A. from CSUN in Communication Disorders and she worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at a charter high school for about four years. She enjoyed her time as an SLPA and getting to help and watch her students grow. During this time she knew she wanted to help students, but the speech pathology route wasn’t for her. This is when she knew she wanted to take the counseling journey and become a K-12 counselor. She just graduated with her master’s in counseling from CLU this past May. She is thrilled to be back at Royal to help her students reach their fullest potential, academically and socially/emotionally.

Becker has been riding horses her entire life. She has two horses, Ricky and Savannah and she competes on them in barrel races all over CA, when she has time! She is a lover of all animals. In addition to her two horses, she has a cat, and two dogs, Stella and Charlie.
